Habitat Suitability Index Models
Habitat Suitability Index models can be used to identify areas of high ecological value for particular species such as species at risk. These models can be used to determine where projects could be best situated and to measure potential impacts of projects.
STRIX principals have developed and validated HSI models for birds and mammals. A variety of field techniques are used to study habitat use for species on a case by case basis.
